9-1-1 Information

The new E-911 system was installed in 2014 with a cost of 125,000.00. The new Solocom system is used in 91 of 92 Indiana counties and is NexGen compliant. In 2018 the 911 center received 18,059 911 calls with a additional 152,353 non-emergency calls. The 911 center also logged 37,380 calls for service.

The budget for the 911 center is approximately 800,000 per year. The funds come from 3 different sources. 550,000 from the state 911 fund, 265000 from the Public Safety tax and 10,000 from the general  fund.
